This past weekend we headed to the farm for an overnight Friday. We got there early enough that my parents kept Jack while B and I had a date night. So much fun! We drove south to Fairfield for supper a great steakhouse, then came back to Corsicana for coffee (or tea in my case) at Two Doors Down, a cute coffeehouse in downtown. They had Friday night karaoke going on, which was so fun!
Saturday morning, my mom, Grannie, Jack, and I were off to a wedding shower for my cousin's bride-to-be near Austin. I, being the rookie mother that I am, naively thought that I could keep my son awake during parts of our drive there and back. He slept most of the way (that's 6 hours round trip) then all the way back to Fort Worth (add another hour and a half) and that night he didn't sleep that well. Never you mind that I had just tweeted that morning about his fabulous (seriously, wonderful!) sleeping habits. So he and I missed church Sunday morning since I could barely see straight I was so tired. We had a great trip though, and Jack got to meet our aunt, uncle, and cousins!
Last night the J-bird fell right back into the sleep pattern he's had for the past couple of weeks. He goes down around 10 PM and wakes at 4 AM for just a couple of ounces, then goes right back down until 7 AM. It's wonderful!
All in all, a great weekend. Hope yours was too!

Oh man, the sleep routine is a hard one if you have an "off" day or night. We just went through the same thing.
