This weekend has been so wonderfully laid back. I've cleaned house, Brad did yard work, and all of it was completed in time to just sit around and listen to the rain (and at times, the hail) pound on the rooftop. So relaxing and needed.
Friday night we had planned on going out to a movie, but at last minute we decided to rent some and stay home instead. We ended up with Bolt (cute) and Rachel Getting Married (interesting). Saturday night after the storms passed through, we made our big venture out to downtown Cowtown for dinner at Cantina Laredo, a restaurant that I often forget is even around. I don't know why because the food is so good.
This morning was bananas. It seemed like if it could go wrong it would. But God redeemed it, and we had a wonderful day in the house of the Lord. Our pastor preached a message that was so timely about not worshipping idols and placing our faith in God above all other things. With all that is going on with the economy, these are uncertain times. But one thing I am certain of is that God will see His children through any situation. There is hope!
My Weekend = Good. Hope yours was too!
